MACHAKOS YOUTH SERVICE 2ND COHORT GRADUATES.

Machakos Governor Wavinya Ndeti officiated the pass-out ceremony of the 2nd cohort of the Machakos Youth Service at the White House grounds, marking a significant milestone in the county's youth empowerment agenda. The ceremony was a testament to the county's commitment to equipping young people with skills to earn a living and build their futures.

The 1,700 graduates, drawn from all 40 wards, underwent rigorous training in physical exercise, first aid, discipline, leadership, and communication skills. They will now proceed to Vocational Training Centres for fully sponsored three-month skills training in areas like Electrical & Electronics, Culinary Arts, Motor Vehicle Mechanics, and more.

Governor Wavinya encouraged the graduands to "stay hungry, stay digital, and represent the Machakos brand," emphasizing that the skills they acquired are a license to earn and create opportunities. She highlighted that youth empowerment is an economic strategy, anchored in the Machakos Youth Empowerment Act, 2024.
