KITENGELA NEWS : Five Charged Over Alleged Break-In Plot in Kitengela Estate
Five individuals, including two officers from the Kenya Defence Forces (KDF), have been arraigned before a Nairobi court over an alleged plot to break into a house in Kitengela.
The court heard that the suspects—Charles Kiio Matata, David Ng’aa Mwangangi, Alex Mumo Kisilu, Richard Mwania Muasya, and Stella Nzuki Mweni—were arrested at Acacia Paradise Estate while allegedly preparing to commit a felony at the home of George Okumu Opondo.

According to the prosecution, the five were charged under Section 308(1) of the Penal Code, which relates to preparation to commit a felony. The case has raised concerns due to the involvement of security officers, with investigations expected to shed more light on the circumstances surrounding the incident.
The Directorate of Public Prosecutions (DPP) has revealed chilling details in the case involving five suspects accused of planning a break-in at a Kitengela residence.

According to the charge sheet, the accused were cornered on March 25, 2026, at Acacia Paradise Estate while allegedly armed with dangerous weapons believed to have been intended for the crime.

“On March 25, 2026, at Acacia Paradise Estate in Kitengela town within the Republic of Kenya, jointly with others, you were found with dangerous weapons, namely a claw bar, a claw hammer, one USA Super knife and pliers in circumstances that you were armed with intent to commit a felony, namely housebreaking,” the charge sheet reads in part.

The prosecution maintains that the suspects were preparing to execute the unlawful act, with the weapons recovered serving as key evidence in the case. The matter continues to raise public concern, particularly following the involvement of individuals linked to disciplined forces.
