High Court clears MP Leo Wamuthende as petition is dismissed for lack of evidence

The High Court has dismissed an election petition challenging the election of Leo Wamuthende as the Member of Parliament for Mbeere North, affirming that he was validly elected during the parliamentary contest.The petition had been filed by Newton Ndwiga, who sought to nullify the election results on grounds of alleged electoral irregularities during the polls.
