The proposed Technical and Procedural Guidelines for Installation and Maintenance of Cable Telecommunication Infrastructure, 2026 are designed to create a standardized framework for laying and managing telecom cables, addressing long-standing concerns over disorganized installations and poor infrastructure planning. According to the regulator, the new rules will help ensure more efficient rollout of communication networks while safeguarding consumer interests and enhancing the reliability of ICT services.
